Samsung Galaxy S7 Is a High Performer Galaxy Phone

Rather than the Samsung Galaxy S7 looks like the Galaxy S6, Samsung has produced a high performance phone by restoring some features were disappeared from the S6 such as (Micro SD slot and enhancing battery life). But the S7 costs
nearly $672 which is more than the last year’s $650 S6, due to the very incremental changes.

The Samsung Galaxy S7’s Body Design and Display

The Samsung Galaxy S7 dimensions are 142.4 x 69.6 x 7.9 mm (5.61 x 2.74 x 0.31 in) which make its width narrower than any other android phone even the S6 (2.78 inches).

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is similar to the S6 in the AMOLED screen size (5.1 inches) and its resolution 1440 x 2560 pixels (~577 ppi pixel density). In S7 the water resistance has been returned without an irritating port cover which used in the S5 and replace it by a water-repellent coating inside the device. The S7 is rated (IP68) so it’s fully water- and dustproof.

The S7 has a more rounded back compared to the S6 to be suitable for a bigger battery. The S7 is available in Black, White, Gold and Silver with a home button under the Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen which acts as fingerprint sensor but it missed the off-center touch comparing to the S6 and the USB used in the S7 is the micro USB to charge and accessories.

The Samsung Galaxy S7’s Network Performance

The S7’s Chipset is a 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820 and supports LTE technology which allows download speeds up to 600Mbps and uploads up to 150Mbps. The Galaxy S7 can deal with a 150Mbps symmetrical Wi-Fi connection in poor signals using LTE technology and give a better data rates. The S7’s tests give (Voice 66dB / Noise 62dB / Ring 66dB) for the loudspeaker and (Noise -92.5dB / Crosstalk -92.7dB) for the audio quality. The earpiece is very loud without noise or distortion.

Battery life 3,000mAh (Non-removable Li-Ion) which is better than on the Galaxy S6.The Galaxy S7’s battery lasted 9 hours in video streaming, as compared with 7hours nearly for the S6. The Galaxy S7 supports both (dual standard wireless – Fast) charging. The S7 can be charged in around 1.5 hour by using the fast charger.

The Samsung Galaxy S7’s Operating System

The S7 runs Android v6.0 (Marshmallow) with TouchWiz interface created and developed by Samsung Electronics. The S7 contains the seven Samsung apps in addition to five apps from Microsoft, WhatsApp, Facebook and the ability of google apps selection. The S7’s Apps launch quickly without lag. Moving the downloaded apps to the microSD card is available, but not built-in apps.

The Samsung Galaxy S7’s Photos and Video

Samsung reduced the Galaxy S6’s 16-megapixel camera to a 12MP to improve low-light performance and saving the quality of the photos produced. The S7’s camera uses the dual pixel technology which main advantage is the autofocus operates very fast to take a much brighter image than the S6 camera. The front camera is 5MP has a dual video call and Auto HDR features.

The S7’s main camera can record a video up to 4K resolution at 30fps and 1080p resolution on the front camera. Video can be recorded excellent even in very dim lights maintaining 30fps.
